Change flash buttons

Hi folks!

I just bought the Emulation Software and the MIDICON today.
I have a generel question - apparently others than me, tried to get an answer like mine. I cannot get anything out of that.

I run the software on a Windows PC.

There is some Flash-buttons in the top screen: FOG, STROBE and BLINDER. I would like to have such buttons on the MIDICON, without using any of the playback buttons. Example on the buttons 17-32 in the top right of the MIDICON.
- Can those be used as any kind of flash for example a dimmer-channel, a strobe, blinder and so on?

- Can anybody give me somekind of guide to do that?

Normally I do not re-program any codes etc. in a program. I would not call myself a 'newbie' behind a PC, but I have limits. Maybe, if you have an answer to my questions here, I would like to get in contact here again, if it doesn't work.

Hope that someone can help me or give an alternative.

The idea with all this is, that I have 2 6ch dimmers, which I would like to have flashbuttons on instead of activating a playback on the MIDICON, as it is programmed now.

hello theis,

unfortunately the only way to do that is to program it into one of the playbacks. the midi con is already pre mapped and cant be changed. ell the buttons in the software are programed on the midi con and all have a specific assignment. if you review the software user manual you will see how everything is mapped out and how you wouldnt be able to have separate flash buttons.

Is there any Way to Make somekind of flash bottun with no fader? Ex. Pressing it turns on 1 dimmer Channel - letting go and it turns of again. ??

- and i have an other question;
How Can I put my dimmer connected to the blinders onto the Global BLINDER-bottun?

if you record a cue on the faders, the buttons at the bottom 1-8 work as flash buttons. and the global buttons will only work for that kind of fixture. if you have blinders, then the blinder button will work. unfortunately that button will not work with your dimmers.

Ok i See - and that works! :-)

I have made Some other ques on other pages that required the faders to be 100% turned on. Then i change over to my new flashes here, as you told me, and the faders are set to 100% so my blinders Will light up If i as much as touch the fader a little bit. That is as shame and the flash function seems to have the opposite effect :-)
Could i 'disconnect' the fader for a single que or page?
