Chauvet Slim Par 64 RGBA Profile

Hello,

I have been trying to add my fixture LED SlimPar 64 RGBA to Compu Live but to no avail. I do not yet know how to create profiles and so I depend mostly on drivers provided.

I tried using the Driver for CompuShow but the only response I get is the on/off switch for white

I want to migrate to Compu Show but its interface I find difficult for LED dependent setup

mode1 gives me white ann nothing else
mode2 has no response

other drivers give response but I cannot control the RGBMix as it ColorMixes on its own

are you using compu live or compu show? both software's use different files. also you have to make sure that the fixture is set up to that mode. the software will not set that up for you.

I am using Compu Live as my primary software
SimPar 64 RGBA_mode1.ssl for Compu Live etc.

I understand the difference in the software files but am yet to be able to create a profile on my own

please advise

by settings, are you refering to the Channel?
if channel: yes I set it to channel 158 but it failed and so i set it to different values and tested them on my Compu Live environment but all resulted in the same output

no. that is just the dmx channel. the mode is something different. do you have it set to the 7ch mode? you might have it set to a different mode and that is why you have no control.

The default channels are 4 and 8 and I am aiming to use the 8-channel setting

ok you need to set that on the light do that the file you are using matches it. do you have the correct file for the light?

TOTAL:
22 Active
24 TOTAL including the 2 RGBAs i cant use yet

2 Intimidator LED 150
14 LED (+2 RGBAs)
5 ParCans
1 Hazer

4 Chauvet Slim Par 64 RGB

the above behave fine and controllable.
the ones below are not and is the request

if you plug in the lights directly do you have any control? just bypass everything and plug just those two.

ok its going to have to be an addressing issue. you need to check to see if you are overlapping a channel or two.

it is not an addressing issue
I have tried 4 random numbers as my starting channel and all those are way above the highest channel I am using
current setup 1-150
tested: 151, 180, 240, 331

no change in outcome

I wouldnt be able to set almost 20 fixtures if I didnt know that :/
ofcourse I set the hardware and the software to the same channel. are you really trying to help?

i mean if you have all this set up correctly it should work. I'm just going through the normal process of trouble shooting. not sure what else it could be. another thing you can try just to make sure it isn't an addressing issue is patching those two lights in by themselves with nothing else. just to see if its an software issue or a fixture issue.

I have tried your recommendation of isolating the SlimPAR 64 RGBA and am still getting the same result of only generating a mix of white light

a different approach to the issue would be most helpful. that maybe it is the ssl that is not working properly or that you can provide me a way to create my own ssl

the ssl files are created with the information that the customer provides us with. if the information is wrong there is no way of us testing it because we do not have the fixtures to test them with. you are more than welcome to create your own profile. you can use the profile creator that is located in your sl2006 folder in your C.drive.
