In This forum you can discuss tips, tricks, and troubleshooting for Elation's Next Generation Compu Live software, "Compu Show".

Well, as per typical, another task has been dumped upon me, but we'll see how this one goes.

Recent news regarding me and Compu show:

My big event had a major overhaul due to the inclusion of new stuff, which was difficult to get started on. It basically involved massive amounts of movement, which Jingles showed me how to do. Saved hundreds of hours of work right there. The new scenes were very basic. All but one scene is sticking, so I have to do this all again. Crap! Oh well. I have time to fix it again, again.

My other show had some tweaks but no major changes. No timeline changes.

Anyhow, regarding the big show, I am now being given the task of editing it for QA purposes, perhaps other madness as well. This is my first time having to do this kind of an edit. But, to stop wasting your time, it is a show where Compu Show was a key player and you can see how a show can run using timecode sync, Compu Show and Easy Show. Not sure when this will be done. I'm gonna be working on it a lot. I already got all of Part 1 synced, I think. What I'm annoyed about is that the camera work wasn't labelled Cam1/2/3/4 so I am having to guess anything that wasn't Cam1(static shot). But, I'm on good terms with the video team(she's on my crew) and will inform her of this because documentation is key to success.

Anyhow, I'll see about obtaining permissions after this is done to share it somehow. I'll have to bug it of course, but hey, gotta have compromises.

If you're NOT using this software, ask yourself: why aren't you. I'm serious. It make my previous work look like caveman stuff.

I'm meeting with the show's producer in a few days. I'll see what he has to say about this.

I am sending out some DVD's to a few potential clients. I'm a bit hesitant because I did have some issues with Compu Show, but I'm convinced it has to do with the venue. I think it's haunted. I also am going over the video to refine the lighting show. I was given some bad timing notes, now I have perfect timing.
