Pop Quiz: In the fixture editor, what is the difference between the various modes for the channel controls "Fader", "Snap Before", and "Snap After".
I'm guessing that the two snap modes will send the new control value before or after the fade occurs, instead of smoothly fading the control value up or down over the fade time.
If so, that would be useful to set a new color wheel before fading on (snap before), or turning on a lamp only after a pan/tilt has completed.
OK, I don't have a clue, I'm only guessing here and I certianly will not be grading this pop quiz!

THANK YOU! It would be good to know this, instead of guessing all the time.

So what is the Snap stuff all about?

Editorial: I wish somebody in charge at Elation would realize that there is a great need for this kind of written information. They could probably make $$ on some well-written books (though many are happy to supply this information with their products).
