Hey I've got a no name brand generic moving head light.

Channel 1 at 40% turns on the beam.
Channel 2 determines the color and at 235 the colors continuously rotate.
Channel 3 sets the Gobo.
Channel 4 sets rotation speed.
Channel 5 controls left to right motion
Channel 6 controls up and down.

Is there any way that you could create a generic moving head fixture for mac. Thank you.

Is there anyway you can tell us exact dmx values? For example channel 1 0-12 is say like gobo open etc? We will need much more specific values for all the channels in order to build a profile correctly for you.
Also we will need some sort of name for this fixture. It can be anything. Even your name. What would you like us to call it? Welcome to the forums.
Sincerely,
Here is the break down

Channel 1 = Beam
0-49 - no beam
50 - 99 full beam

25 - 49 red
50 - 74 yellow
75 - 99 purple
100 - 124 - blue
125 - 149 - green
150 - 174 - dark blue
175 - 199 - deep purple

150 - 174 ancient volleyball gobo
175 - 199 - hazmat gobo

evenly spaced out spin over 255

Channel 6 y axis

spaced out evenly over 255

Channel 7 - none

Channel 8 - None
"little Genius" That's a funny. I'll name it that.
Three things:
1) for the gobo's i'll just have icons that read gobo 1 gobo 2 etc.
2) channel 4, what exactly does it spin?
3) do you know the range of tilt? Perhaps maybe 265 degree's?

Thanks for taking the time to type that up. I really appreciate it. I'll make this tonight. you'll have it tomorrow morning most likely as a link in a reply to this thread.

do you know how to add xml files to the library? Do you use the builder software yet?
Sincerely,
Jarell, I am sorry for the late update but I did make your profile and when I was testing it in the Emulation program I discovered several bugs and issues with the profile that I myself cannot figure out how to fix. The profile creator program is still a pretty new program for us to use to make profiles. You may also download the Builder program and check it out yourself.
I believe I will have an answer/working profile for you on Monday. My sincere apologies for the delay. Want a link to the builder software?
sincerely,
