How to control Emulation with a foot switch

I've been informed we will have a MIDI map for Emulation for the FCB1010 in about 2 weeks. So if you go with the emulation software and the 1010 we will have your needs covered. Sound good?

If you have ANYTHING done that would even let me press any button the the FCB1010 and see any movement or button push in Emulation I'd appreciate it. This is not for functionality, but for proof of concept..... to my wife!

If not, then I'll wait. I'm fighting Guitar Center 'return merchandise' deadlines.

no we don't have anything yet. Our engineer is purchasing the 1010 and is waiting for it to arrive before they make the midi map for it.

Also GC might not let you return the emulation program as they have strict software return rules.

I'm keeping emulation no matter what. I like it SO much better then the competition. It is the Behringer that I don't want to be stuck with in case it doesn't work the way I'm hoping.

My old-old light show was an NSI 1616 controller with 4 4600 dimmer packs. 12 Par 64s and 4 special effects lights. I had programmed the controller and it was a simple thing to just plug in my Rolls midi-buddy footswitch and control my various scenes and chases. Of course, back then, a scene was simple... one light = one fader, press 'save to scene xx' and you're done. As you can imagine, we blew a lot of circuits and could never get enough A/C power for the whole show.

I'm considering the purchase of a hardware 'by hand' controller to do some light work for bands when I'm not playing.

I can borrow my drummers DMX Operator... but what do you suggest for interfacing with Emulation? Sometimes there is nothing like knobs, buttons, and faders instead of a mouse and shortcut keys.

Well like I linked you too in the other post. The MIDIcon is a very nice midi interface playback controller for emulation. Take a look at the midi map for MIDIcon in Emulation:

Okay... Stupid question time. Since Elation and American DJ are sort of the same company, if PC platform didn't matter (Windows vs Mac), do you like MyDMX or Emulation? I'm new at software for lights but have bunches of computers. GC sold me Emulation because they know I use a Mac. But I also use PCs. Would MyDMX have been a better choice?

The midi con link is not in this post. It is in the other post you recently made. I thought it was. you might have two similar threads going. you might have to just drop one and focus on one otherwise it gets confusing for me lol.
