In This forum you can discuss tips, tricks, and troubleshooting for Elation's Next Generation Compu Live software, "Compu Show".

So, on top of the normal everyday crashing of this program, every time I try to add anything to a second universe the program will crash forcing me to revert back to a way older show with one universe. If it doesn't crash, after I save the file, it opens up a blank show with the right fixtures but all in the wrong place.

At this point this problem has made me lose upwards of 7-10 hours programming time in the last two days and is something that in my opinion really needs to be fixed in order for me to take full advantage of my rather expensive dongle.

I have the newest beta release but have tried it on the previous stable release too. The old version would crash, the beta screws the show up to a point of no return.

Well that's comforting. If it helps, I'll explain what I think happened. It kept doing the same blank page again, but instead of just a blank page, it had a little pop up that stated that it couldn't find my Elation platinum spot 5r pro.ssl page (because I loaded it from a downloads section). Once I found that profile and loaded it after copying it to the scan library, the program loaded the rest of my switches and pages and was seemingly normal. I guess in the older versions that popup wouldn't come up making it seem like it was blank.

I'll program for a little while longer and give some more feedback if I have any more problems
So just to toss out a simple bit of feedback from this newest beta:

The older versions of the program allowed me to create a movement, and then delete the easy time from the pan or tilt portion while still being able to edit the movement. Now, if I create that movement, then delete the easy time from the pan and save the switch, exit, and then go back to edit that same switch, the easy time box at the bottom disappears until I add the pan back in.

After doing this multiple times, even when I add the easy time effect back to the pan channel, the easy time editor disappears for good. The effect is still working, but there is no way to bring the editor back up.

Other than that, this program just keeps getting better.
Well I just tried this on the latest beta of compu show which is Nov. 25 of this year. I created a empty switch on a page with movers. Linked for starters just the pan channel to easy time, then used the pan tilt effect icon to open up the shape editor for pan and tilt effect. i created a circle with 4 points. didn't mess with phasing or anything. hit play and it played through the circle. Hit the ok button to close it, went over to my channel window and turned the tile and tilt fine channels to "Off" by right clicking the icon where the easy time icon is. it might look like it stops playing, or the fader stops moving but if you save and close the button the sequence plays back as it was recorded. So I guess I wasn't able to reproduce this on my end. What release date of compu show do you have?
Sincerely,
Figured it out, in the editor in the easy time window. After you drag your effect onto the timeline and edit your effect. There is a gear next to the play button for easy time. click that gear it should be called options if you hover your mouse over it. once you click on it there will be a small drop down menu. uncheck compress color mix and pan and tilt. That should expand the timeline and you should be able to still see your effect. Let me know how it works.
