In This forum you can discuss tips, tricks, and troubleshooting for Elation's Next Generation Compu Live software, "Compu Show".

Hi guys,

I'm using an APC20 for live control. Is there any way to get the buttons on the APC to stay lit when there is an active switch/scene on the programmed button?

I know the capability to do this is there. In the console window when I click a button on the virtual APC the button on the actual APC will light up and stay lit. It just won't stay lit when a scene/switch is activated from within Compushow or when activated from the APC.

Anybody have any suggestions??

I have the same problem with my APC40. It would help me out a ton if someone can figure this out. The funny thing is that the smaller buttons under the main grid of buttons do light up and turn off if the switch is overwritten, as I would like the rest of the controller to work. If it helps; I have noticed that the main buttons send an "on/off" midi signal (when I push the button it sends an 'on' and when my finger is lifted it sends an off)and the smaller buttons below send an "on then off" midi signal (two button pushes).

this is a link to the Akai midi mapping with a detailed pdf at the bottom of the page:

And if it could be done; The APC has 3 different colors under the buttons. Red, green, yellow. It would be great if they could be lit to display what kind of Scenes, Switches, or Cycles the button is assigned to and flash when it is active
