Hello

I have a problem with my Midicon Controller which i bought some months ago (but the problem is present since beginning.)

The faders start "shaking" and are sending signals even i don´t touch them.
For example: i put the fader at 50% -it shakes sometimes from 49-51 and back.

This happens by hazard. Sometimes it does, sometimes not.

This is really bad, wenn it happens at 0 position and cues where started by accident.

I have tried a lot of things, tested different software, different Midi playback Loops etc. It happens with every software that i tried. I can see the "wrong" midi signals in the Midi Input in Midi-OX or Bomes etc.

Like i´m not allone with this problem (i asked in several forums) i wanted to know if there is a possibility to solve this by firmware update perhaps or is this not solvable?

Hi, i know i'm in europe as well, but we all do understand english. I would really appreciate a solution to this problem, as it is not workable and makes both the midicon and emulation software useless. If you switch banks and the faders of the new bank are in the 100% position, but the physical faders are in the 0% position, after a while the faders shake a bit and thus turn off tbe chase ( or dimmer or whatever was running) in the software. I have called elation holland, but they claim to have never heard of this probblem. Could you elaborate? Otherwise i would be forced to find a new application for the midicon e.g. Doorstopper or paperweight. Thanks
Hi, no it's not. It's on all faders.

However, I have just removed the midicon and reconnected. Then i have selected midicon pro ( which obviously doesn't work properly for all buttons but it does for the faders) This doesn't seem to have any problems. Then i changed back to midicon and didn't have any problems anymore. Curious. I'm anxious to see if it will be still working ok tomorrow!
Hi bluey, it's not about who knows what, it's a regional thing, if you are overseas we ask that you contact your nearest Elation service office for various reasons such as being closer to the same time zone for easier and faster communication and also if any service issues arise, you'll be sending the EU office your equipment, not the USA. Although we will do our best to help you in correspondence on these forums or in email if you email us, but most times it is faster to talk to the EU office if you are in their territory.

We aren't trying to not be helpful, we are suggesting this to be of more help. I hope that makes sense. Thanks!
Well,
I work with my lighting at night. That's daytime in your timezone, and closing time here in Holland, so you're the quickest responders. Futhermore I was not asking to send in a product for repair,I was merely asking if you ad already found a solution for this issue (the TS asked the same question, but you forwarded him to Elationlighting.eu)

And then, on top of that, you could have read in my post that I have alreay contacted Elation Holland (which IS Elation Europe) and they said they had never heard of this issue (whereas TS says he has the same issue, and many others in fora with him)

So, to cut a long story short, I didn't get any answers in Holland, Europe, or the US and people keep re-directing me to eachother.

Thanks for the assistance anyway

Roland
bluey,

this isn't a known issue. what you are describing sounds like a Fader issue. my recommendation would be for you to send the unit in to be inspected. there is no software update that would address this issue you are having. again its not that we are not trying to help. do you have a name of who you spoke to at elation Europe? we will have to address this with them so they can better assist you in future support needs you might have. now i can continue to help you here in the forums but there isn't really much else we can try as far as trouble shooting. if the faders continue to ghost then it will be an issue with the Fader PCB.
