SD3 losing control of LED 36's

SD3 (v1.12) controlling Color Bar of 18 LED 36.
During some scene changes, total loss of control of the LED's while the fader controls continue to work.
I can sometimes run through the same scene changes several times with no issues.
Programed 5 new scenes as a test with the same results
This problem started about 2 months ago and is getting more frequent.

I have been told that certain "playback" modes programed into the scene may be the issue. I ran through the scene changes in Solo mode with the same results.

My initial plan is to upgrade to 1.13, but I am not looking forward to a complete repatching of the SD3

Hi HUMC-Roadie and welcome to the forums.

When the LEDs lose control, is there a way to check and see if they are losing DMX signal or the console simply isn't doing what its suppose to? This would help narrow the problem down to either the console or something else. Worth a shot.

I am not sure how I would go about checking just the DMX signal. I do know that the LED status light flashes a error code 0024 and I have a total loss of all lights from the board.
Is there an easy procedure for checking that?

Could be a bad DMX cable.
Change the primary DMX cable going to the first fixture.
you should also have installed a Data Splitter/booster as a DMX branch 4 to improve you data to fixtures and to help identify any signal loss if there is any.
