SD3 Profiles?

Also, is the profile creator on the product page the correct one for the SD3?It's labeled SD2. Just wannabe sure.

I am 99% certain that the same profile creator software is used for both SD2 and 3. I am sure SDman will post to confirm or deny this.

How's it going? Congratulations on your new purchase; I went ahead and read your post. Jingles is actually correct, the SHOW DESIGNER 2 and 3 both use the same fixture profiles (.sdf files). Here is the link to the SD-2 pge on our website. There you will be able to find the SD Library Creator, The SD Backup Software (If you choose to update your profile via the RS-232 port), etc. Not quite sure why those links have not been added to the SD-3 page but I will look into it.
The Library Creator is a besic program where you can create your own fixture(s). If you have any questions regarding the Library Creator or if you need a specific profile created you can send your requests or questions to support@elationlighting and either myself or one of our tech support agents will be more than happy to assist you. Usually profile requests can be handled within 2-3 days (depending on how many requests receive before yours). I hope this helps out.

I have quite a few Chauvet fixtures, just post the ones you need. Also, the SD3 software update file on the Elation web site should not be used. Somehow the file was corrupted when it was posted there. I have been trying to get that fixed, I will let everyone know when it gets done. BTW, you must update SD3 software with the CF card, not the RS232 connector.

OK, so here we go.
Apparently the RS-232 is more complicated than its worth so far. I believe I'm having issues with my computer and the manufacturer's drivers for it. Anyhow, I purchased a CF reader to use with the card that came with my console, (from a previous user). I have been able to load a fixture profile using that means so far but need the remaining ones.
Another thing I'm confused on. One of the selling parts for me on this console was I was told here on the forum that the 3 has a pretty decent effects generator in it. Now I'm still new to using it but I have come across absolutely nothing resembling a true effects generator. Could someone clue me in if I'm simply missing something.
As for the software, I'm currently on 1.13. I attempted to load the one listed on the elation website via CF card, but received "Data Error 10, REINSERT CARD". From there the console locks up and will only unlock after a reboot. I'm guess that is the corruption your speaking of. Id like to be up to date but understand this takes some time. Please let me know how that is coming/ when we might expect it. As for the fixtures I need I will list them below. Email is iceman_jets@yahoo.com. Thanks guys.
