I have a disco dance floor that I am trying to control/chase. Each square panel has 9 concentric rings of dimmable neon tubes in three colors controlled by DMX. There is an outer, middle, and inner neon tube of red, white and blue. I created a fixture profile with nine attributes, each one of type dimmer. I then programmed 9 presets so that I could turn on different colors of neon. For instance, an outer red, a middle red, an inner red, outer white, etc. I then created a complex chase, picked my fixtures, applied some presets, recorded some steps. When I play the chase back each step remains on as the next step is played until everything is on. Not a very interesting chase. I then created a fixture profile of one dimmer channel and a multi-fixture of 9 channels so that I could still select each panel individually. I get the same results when recording a chase by applying presets. Everything just builds on the previous step. I tried clear/blackout after recording each step hoping that it would erase any previous settings but that didn't work. If I ignore the presets and set each channel with the wheels the chase works fine but it is more time consuming. I don't understand why when applying presets that each step is held on and not released. Any suggestions to this problem would be appreciated.

I don't know a lot about the show designer program. I am a MA and Hog guy myself. But will all ML consoles, there are a couple of things to remember.

Tracking: You will need to update your presets so that when you turn that color on, it turns the others off. That way it will record those values that you don't want on at 0% while bringing the others to full.

When you record cue 1 with red. then cue 2 with blue, cue 2 will still have red tracking through.

You can probably just edit your cue information to accomplish a fix for your program.
