Hey people,
well I am new to lighting, so I am sure there will be lots of questions from me soon, but here is my first one.

So yesterday I was playing with my lights, and I was using a dell laptop with a 3gig processor and a gig if ram, but when I was playing back my easy show time line, i heard the audio stutter a little . It was not a lot, just like a quick blip every so often. So do I need more memory? better sound card? If you could have an ideal computer for running elation, what kind of components would it have.

I am not planing on using that laptop for my show. I have a dell desktop with the same specs, so I was thinking of uping the ram to 3 gig, and getting a good sound card. Does the video card make a difference?

Thanks for the help.

oh yes! video memory takes a toll on a computer and the 3D viewer uses a lot. i run a g.c. with 128MB of dedicated memory with a total of 287MB of graphice memory. so i would strongly suggest double that. the skipping u heard was ur computer tryin to keep up. when i play back my stuff i start my song and then minimize all other things except the viewer and i bring that to full screen. any more questiond let me know. peace! jingles.
