Work on a button "live" without activating it?

I have tried searching and cant seem to find my answer, I have the fader toolbar up and I see how when I click a new scene it shows the fade times for that scene.

Is there a way to click a button so I can change the fade times without actually activating the scene? I am a little out of practice, have been without for a few months.

On a side note, jingles, if no one ever posted how you can duplicate the RGB color wheel to give more options, let me know how I can post to show, its a cool easy feature.

ummm......Shift right click the button and then go into settings and there should be an option in there.

If you want to record your screen and post it as a video on you tube and share the link we really would appreciate it. Let me know if you need a good screen capture program. I know a awesome free one.
