SD2 record new scene issue

incyoverhead ·
When I try to record a new scene after pressing "record" and then "scene", the lights will be reverted to the previous scene used before I can assign a number to the new scene. I have deselected all fixtures, presets and scenes before attempting to setup and record the new scene. This issue started a while ago and went away on its own, but now it is back and won't go away. The software is up to date (1.20). Any ideas?

incyoverhead , Good afternoon I'd like you to record a few scenes, but before recording them and what not I'd like for you to hold the BLACK button for a few seconds so that the LED button turns on and shuts off. This will bring all your DMX channels to zero. Now try selecting your fixtures and recording a few new scenes (holding the BLACK button first before recording each of them). Let me know if this resolves your issue.

RC, Thank you for getting back so quickly. I have attempted your suggestion several times , but I am still getting the same results as before. Is there any way to do a factory reset? I realize I may have to reload profiles and patch all the fixtures again, but this might also fix another issue we have been having with the color LED bars "dancing" instead of just fading into new scene. Our second issue is not that important due to the fact that normally I set the stage color and leave it...

Hi. I am trying to put in a new program for a new production. Out of the blue. My password is not accepted and now I cannot record any of my scenes. I know when put in the password the lights are purpose to blink. Plus when you are in a rec step. The light should be on. I got nothing. Is there something wrong?

You can Erase All Memory on your controller and bring it back to factory specs by holding down the MENU and ADD buttons at the same time and scrolling through the menu until you get to Erase All Memory. Once you're there press ENTER and follow the instructions. The only way to access Erase All Memory is by holding these 2 buttons. It could be that some sort of file may have corrupted on your SD2CF causing these issues so that's not a bad idea. Another thing I'd like you to do is get in the...

movers reseting positions when fading into other scenes

bubbajoe ·
Hi! Whenever I try to fade some scenes and switches on my design spot 250 pros they do a position reset before going to the next position. Now, most of my scenes do these but two of them don't. This happens when my pan changes but not my tilt in these scenes any help is appreciated.

hi when you say position RESET do you mean like when they first power on? Like a full XY re-home? or they just lose their position for a bit then they fade into the set Pt position?

i mean they do their position reset whenever I turn them on. then lets say I want them to go to the drums. They go to the drums but then if I want them to go to the keys and I press the keys scene instead of just fading to that position they fade to their home position then to they keys scene. but they do not stop at the home position they just fade into them home position and continue to their next destination. Usually the same thing for tilt

Hi, do you have a fade out time in use? Try it with 0 fade out time, cause i think that it is fading out to your home position and then going to the position you clicked on.

Chase doesn't loop

ncremeans ·
I have a Elation DMX operator Pro console. When I manually create chase scenes, ( meaning I am not just setting up chases from existing scenes that are saved) lets say 10 steps. After saving and hitting the play back, it cycles thru the 10 steps and stops on the last step instead of starting back at the beginning of the chase. This is just on the moving light section, I am not using any par cans. Just moving heads and 4bar L.E.D.'s. In addition, when i program a chase that is built from...

Hello, I know this thread is more of a general area, but we can't offer advice for gear that is not Elation or ADJ branded equipment, and this unit doesn't look to be one of our old SS 24s. I would find the manufacturer and email or call them.

Console flickering erratically

Kiwitostes ·
Hi, I am getting acquainted with stage lighting in an amateur theatre group and we have a Scene Setter 24-48 which has all of a sudden begun flickering all over the board in a totally erratic way. It is also sending out signals in the same way (lights flicker on and off in correlation to the board flickering, both LED and incandescent lights). Our tech guy says the board is dead and we need a new one, but being the same guy who would sell us a new one, we want a second opinion. I opened it...
