Re: Elation Satura Profile G5UFan1 Er
Hey @Michael Dimsey , I would check number 5 board. That board would be the PCB with 7 Drivers Located towards the LED Source. It should have a sticker labeled HY1324/5U01, or the board should have a PCB1127-0-C. That fan should go to that board and connected to 5JB1. I would just follow that connection to the fan.

Old Trackpod 81 TP-81 Intelligent LEDs Color Systems blowing fuses at power on.
Hello All, While I am a electronics technician, I have no experience with production lighting or LED systems as I am more of an amp guy. I recently purchased 8 old Elation/Alkalite TP-81 Intelligent LED Color Systems ( Link ) and a few 575E AT moving head lights at a liquidation sale for a local production company. Literally everything has 1 or two issues, but almost all of the TP-81sblow the 2A GMA fuse at power on. I am guessing this must have been a common issue with these because they...

FuzeWash Z350 & Z120 Color Presets
We are currently using ShowXpress software so I am having to build my own profiles for all my new Elation lights. I am looking for a list of all the 64 Color Presets to properly name them, as well as the 13 Color Macros. I've searched on here as well as Google and haven't been able to locate the information. Thanks

Fixture Profile for American DJ Focus Spot 3 moving light
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has a fixture profile for an American DJ Focus Spot 3 light, or know of another profile that is already in the SD2 profiles folder, that will work with this fixture. The fixture has both an 18 and 21 channel DMX mode, while the SD2 only has 16 and 24, neither of which have worked with this light. I am using a closed government network so I'm not able to download and use the fixture profile creator that I've seen mentioned on other threads. Thank you for your...

Using MIDI with Alcorn McBride WinScript
I'm designing a 4D simulation using an Alcorn McBride V16 Pro as the base controller. For the lights, the V16 has MIDI out which I'm sending to an SD2 lighting board. The issue is that the MIDI format is different than standard MIDI. Does anyone know any workarounds for this? Particularly if you've had experience using WinScript to program MIDI cues. I don't know if there is a way for the MIDI message to automatically convert to Elation's format or if there is a specific I/O or variable I...

Greetings unfortunately this is a very old unit and literature is no longer available. I would look at the toroidal transformer, im willing to bet its shorting out. FYI we no longer have parts available as well.

Thank you. I will take a resistance measurement from one of the functional units and see if I can find a suitable replacement.

Re: Using MIDI with Alcorn McBride WinScript
The SD2 uses standard MIDI continuous controller messages to trigger scenes. As long as you can generate those from you software you should be able to create cues. The SD2 manual has a page that shows how to make the message. Controller messages work better than notes for this controller due to the large number of scene slots.

Service for broken fixtures
I have two problematic fixtures that I ordered replacement parts for per the recommendation of one of Elations Service employees. Since then, they have arrived, I've replaced the parts, both fixtures are still not working and that person in the service department has not replied to me for weeks. Wondering what I need to do to get in touch with someone that can help. Thanks in advance.

Show Designer 1 - Not operating
Hi, I recently got back to my Winter job and found that our Show Designer 1 is inoperative. When I tried to turn the power switch on or off the blue LCD screen flashes for a second then goes blank. Nothing is operative on the board, no lights (LED) or anything. Is there a method of restoring to factory? Or is this a failure that needs a factory repair (RMA)? How do I contact Elation for an RMA ans shipping instructions? Thanks for the assist in advance. SquireDude
