Re: How to assign the "Virtual Keypad" to a function key

You are correct. I did not find one as well. I only found the keypad that pops up as a window and takes up the full screen. Windows > Panels > Keypad I have mentioned it to the Onyx Engineers. As much as we enjoy trying to help out on the Elation forum, maybe try http://forum.obsidiancontrol.com/ . The people on the Forum might have more insight or some sort of workarounds.

How to assign the "Virtual Keypad" to a function key

AndyY ·
Hi all, In Onyx I can assign the "Onscreen Keyboard" to a function key on my laptop easily enough via Onyx Menu > Assignments Functions > Commands > General > Keyboard. But I can't find the equivalent for the Keypad (note: KeyPAD <-- the small one with FULL, @, THRU etc). I've searched all function key options a couple of times. Have I just missed it, or is it not possible to assign keyPAD popup to a function key? Regards AndyY

Assignable Keys Shortcuts?

michaelmoore ·
Hello, I have Emulation installed on my 10" Netbook. I am new to the program, but it seams as if some of the key commands that work on my desktop won't translate to my netbook because it doesn't have a fully keypad. For example, the page up and down keys move up and down through the playback banks. The issue is that I don't have those keys on my smaller netbook keyboard. My question is: is there a way to reassign the key commands for the program, or is than an option that you might consider...

AR32 recorder help please

bncsoundtech ·
Elation tech support supplied me with the windows xp drivers to jump my first hurdle with my new AR32 however, the software help section and the instruction manual is missing several key pieces of information preventing me from finishing my install. For example: The indicator lights on the keypad exibit strange flashing paterns when the usb cable is plugged into my PC and when the DMX in cable is plugged in. Or, the auto light glows red and the page 1 and show 1 glow blue. It looks like the...

Re: Surely, I can't be dumber than this 512 Manual?

Yes, these 'dip-switches' certainly are cause for pause, reminding me of more than a few situations involving ozark-engineering! Technically, 'RS-485' is a simple enough description of this system for a newbie DMX-Operator, having patched together a few SONY-Beta video suites. More importantly, it seems really similar to the RS-232 system from ADA, whereby each keypad has TWO rows of dip-switches, one allows you to set the color-output of the glowing buttons, just to put the kabosh on these...

Re: Keyboard won't work

Yes, I have tried 2 brand new Keyboards and they all do the same thing. The console sometimes works with the keyboard after the initial start up. But, than after about 15 minutes of recording Scenes and Presets, it stops allowing key strokes. After this happens ... It will not accept the Key strokes for hours, if not days before it works again. Again, the Caps Lock and Num Lock lights, turn on and off .. just can't type nor use the keypad.
