I'm designing a 4D simulation using an Alcorn McBride V16 Pro as the base controller. For the lights, the V16 has MIDI out which I'm sending to an SD2 lighting board. The issue is that the MIDI format is different than standard MIDI. Does anyone know any workarounds for this? Particularly if you've had experience using WinScript to program MIDI cues. I don't know if there is a way for the MIDI message to automatically convert to Elation's format or if there is a specific I/O or variable I...

The SD2 uses standard MIDI continuous controller messages to trigger scenes. As long as you can generate those from you software you should be able to create cues. The SD2 manual has a page that shows how to make the message. Controller messages work better than notes for this controller due to the large number of scene slots.

Hello, I am looking to install Fuze Pendent lights for one of the projects. I need to know how is power connections can be done for multiple lights mounted in ceiling? Can I do loop in loop out connections or each Pendent needs to be connected with individual power connections? Can you please help with proper connectivity between multiple lights. As per the below there are 2 power supply Internal and External? Can you please advice how does that work? How the connectivity gets connected to make sure all the PD lights are connected and we get them working? My question is that do we need External Power or we can use Internal Power? If we can use Internal Power how will it work and what will be connectivity? Thanks!!!

where are you located? also on page 10 the general power connections are outlined. this should be sufficent information for the electrician. between this information and current load, the electrician should be able to calculate how many outlets etc would be needed based on your particular needs/ also local building codes as well.

Greetings.. there is no connectivity diagram per se since they only have one power in. your electrical contractor would have to design a grid. the specs are listed on the web page, your electrical contractor will need this information for load calculations.

Well can you please provide both methods as we would need to work with electrical contractor. As of now I don't have any information. I am new to this and would need your help to guidance as of in typical scenario how can we do the connection? My client has some Elation Platinum Wash ZFX Pro units in a permanent event space install. I do an annual maintenance sweep for them. Last year a couple of the units started to flicker when they get close to full on (R, G, B, W emitters all at or near full). If you take the edge off and lower some intensities, the problem goes away. I replaced the LED driver boards in both units and the problem went away. Greetings, you will need to replace the wiring harness that goes from the base to the led via the arm.. this typically will resolve the issue. (red/blue wires) UPDATED WIRING HARNESS FOR EPW880 (elationlighting.com)

greetings, yes i work for elation, we have seen this issue on units with higher hours on them. over time the current demand increases slightly and the existing cable is not quite thick enough. this being said there maybe other issues which may require attention but based on your description this typically resolved the issue.

Hello guys, unfortunately I have a problem with the Elation KL Panel RGBWCL. Once every while the light is flickering, mostly about every 15 minutes. It doesn't matter if it's wired or the signal comes wireless. Even after an update (to V1.10). Can someone help me with this? Thank you very much!

Just to get the message right, we have about 20 to 25 panels in our show, and the flickering is not always the same panel, but always another one...

I would look at your DMX runs and make sure: A) That you don't have too many DMX devices on one run B) that the DMX line is terminated at the end C) If you have a DMXcat or DMX tester, try sitting in a cue/look and seeing if the flicker finder notices anything. You can also view the DMX levels while you see the flicker and see if something is being sent that shouldn't.

do you use wire cable .

@Cesarsalad the fuze pendant includes a power locking cable. it also has a bare wire block as well.
