Thank you for the immediate response! I have a rental company and have used emulation for years now. I think it's been a year that cuelux started support of the emulation cables and for a brief moment I used it. The thing is that the ''FINE'' movement position does not work for the last 2 versions at least. Ok I have added the 8 fixtures I think there may be a problem with the dmx protocol's the coemar manual shows them as a 13 channel fixture while the ssl file shows it as a 6 channel fixture?

Yes.. This is a huge deal.. your channels have to match. Make sure you are using the correct ssl file.

I spoke to someone from elation support last night and they were able to email the correct ssl file and actually walked me thru the basics of adding the fixtures and programming scenes how do i create a spotlight program i created a scene that blacks out one fixture and points the other toward the center of the floor and used that x/y field to move it, i wanna know if there is a way that i can have 2 fixtures pointed at the same area and follow the other

i wonder if u save just your lights page file in ur sl2006 folder and then re generate it and then copy and paste ur scenes files in the light data folder for the same fixtures, i wonder if it would work? does that make sense? so that way u get ur buttons regenerated and maybe still have ur work? might work?

You may have a file missing. Simply reinstall the software using your CD rom. It will install the software, but wont erase any of your programming. It would also be a good idea to save all your work at this point.

Nov. 9th is what is says on the website. I didn't look at what it says in the software. I posted on thier forum and was told to open the _global.ini file and change the line LOADFIRMWARE=YES to LOADFIRMWARE=NO. It helped clean up about 90% of the flicker but it still does a little bit. Thanks.

Hey guys, any luck with the revoIII .ssl file? I've made 2 files, and cannot get them to work in any mode other than sound active... I'd like to be able to install this light tonight... I'll use sound mode if I have to, But I thought it would be cool to be able to have DMX control. I noticed no one has responded to this ssl request... does that mean It ain't happenin? it doesn't work at all... the only button that works is sound active... I don't need the 10 channel, apparently that's just for independant control of each cluster... so forget that... 4 channel is the best way to run it anyway... that being said, if I make a generic 4 channel fixture file in freestyler dmx, I can console it into doing what I want, but that's not the software I want to use... Can't you guys walk next door, grab a revoIII and work out a file on a working unit? I'm not an...

If I go into edit, it does in fact move things around, but once again, it doesn't really control the light... I only get three different patterns, and they don't chase or anything.. I mean there's some cool patterns in sound mode, but there's also some lame ones... it would be nice to have an actual fixture file for this light instead of half assing it through console.. the sliders on the fixture file do change the values in the output window, which would in a perfect world make the light...

No Biggie dude, I appreciate you trying... It's hard to build a fixture without a light... I'm constantly making files for people for scanners and movers, but these new LED fixtures with no pan, no tilt, and no RGB color mixing screw me up... I mean, what channels do you use? The compuware software needs to have new channel types added for modes, chases, and internal programs... Here's hoping That yall' can pull off a file for your software that works with your light... That would be cool!

actually gary try this version and see how it works for you. Compu Live 04' OCT 18th release that is a direct link once you click it it will start to save the file to your desktop. ok? wait to download the newest version of the software till after we fix this issue of locking out the English language. ok? let me know how it goes. sincerely,

sorry elation i cant get on line.....i found some personality from net and i try to lod it it is showing NO FILE FOUND ..and the light i am using for our show is coustum made and they have only 2 and 9 chanels and i am new with SHOW DESIGNER 3 And in this forum also thanks for u r message hope some one can help me

As far as computers are concerned, there are generally two fronts. The first is the ability to run your lights entirely from a software-based controller (like CompuWare), connected to a USB widget/dongle to send the DMX signal to your fixtures. The second one is the ability to trigger your regular DMX controller/console trough the use of MIDI triggers from a computer. i first had 5 songs in a row. about a month ago i added a 6th song to the end with scant errors every now and again. just recently i added a 7th song and now i'm noticing the crazy amounts of problems. again, it would be ideal for me to have everything in one file, because most of the songs interlude right into the next song... but i think to save myself the headache of problems that come along with it, im just gonna start programming single songs.. ugh!!

Ok ya your right that does crash it. did you send the crash file to dylan? or did you send the crash file out at all? also why are you trying to change it to a scene when it is a cycle? To edit the cycle try hitting the init button on on the page that the cycle is on and then find your "Cycle" Tab. in the tab it should allow you to edit it there. if nothing is available for you to click on it then run your cycle then go back to the cycle tab and then hit stop. give that a try and get back to...

Hi Jingles, I was clicking the scene button, becuse I thoght I had to choose what type it was..i.e. scenes, or switches. Anyhow, unfortunatly it will not let me send the bug report out, keeps trying, and I do not have an e-mail client on this machine. It would be nice if it wrapped up the errors and saved it into a file I could e-mail on my "connected" machine. John, My Page Settings were correct...Fade option was checked on every scene. I eventually determined that the problem had to do with my fixture patches, and now I have a new (bigger problem): I am totally baffled by how patches work in CompuLive. It seems that every time I open a different show, then try to open the 3D viewer for that show, it says the patch has changed, then it asks me if I want to update automatically. John, 1. Ok, I checked the Page Settings like you said and all of the "channels" do have the FADE function enabled. They're grayed out, but they ARE checked. I'm using DLED36's (8), AMDJ P64LEDPros (8), and DS250's (4). 2. You say, "If you have more than one page, then you will have conflicting issues". I do have more than one page...one page for each type of fixture. Is this a problem? If so, how can I possibly add fixtures without adding pages? 3. I'm fine with saving it in the default...

1. if the check box is grayed out its because you need to see individual channels. you will see a + symbol near fixture name. click it and it expands all channels. The important channels for moving heads that need the FADE option checked are pan tilt dimming focus Iris and zoom. LED's need Red Green and Blue and dimming checked. 2. when I say more than one page, I refer to having multiple DESIGN SPOT 250 pages or DLED 36 pages with the same DMX address. Matchless, All is working good. I loaded your programming file.. it looks good. all working great and looking as it should. Nice work. I loaded Delux EVS and all the fixture positions loaded just as you set them on stage. Also.. looking very good. 1. I see your missing fades from scenes 1-25. scenes 31-54 have fades and they all work good then scenes 61-125 no fades again. Are you asking why are some scenes missing fades? 1. Fades are missing from scenes 1-25 on purpose. Scenes 31-54 are exact copies of 1-25, but with fades. I'm pretty sure I got the fades back...no problems there. 2. I see what your saying...those people are memory hogs! What's weird is after you pointed that out, I deleted all 6 people AND all unnecessary objects. Now the file is larger: 11MB!! I cannot figure this out. Try it on your end...try deleting the people and save the file as a different name. What is your file size after doing...

Matchless. i tried loading the 9Mb file unfortunately it did not load on my machine after waiting 10 minutes! haha. so i checked out the smaller stage that looks really nice. i would recommend getting rid of the floor texture and simply pick a wood type color. and also if you want to choose no walls and no ceiling. this may help or may not i am not sure. you definitely have a weird issue going on with the increase in file size. if it persist i can send your file to our developers and they...

Jingles/John, After re-creating my stage, I'm still having the same problem. I'll open one show, then open another, and every time I save each one (even if NOTHING appears to change), it adds another 1 or 2 MB to the file size. I really would like to know what is going on here. Thanks, Brian

I was checking out both your .evs files.. I see they are almost exactly the same. Can you send me your file while its in the 1 - 2 mb range.. We will do some testing here and see what happens.
