Luis, I have tried that numerous times. Granted , it has been about 10 years since I have used DMX lighting. My last controller, An Election was a breeze to address. This is my second Scene Setter 24 in four weeks. The first one my salesperson and I assumed was defective. Hey Carl, To assign the DMX Channels on "ADJ" branded version of the Scene Setter you will need to do the following: 1. Enter Program Mode by pressing and holding the Record button and entering 1, 6, 6, 8. 2. Enter Channel Assign Mode by pressing and holding the Record button and entering 8, 8, 8. 3. greetings if you are comfortable working on the unit the try the following: with the units unplugged open it up.. you will see a large PCB with multiple E-proms. make sure they are properly seated then retest.. if successful then close the unit up and enjoy if not then you may need to send it in for repair: for RMA requests email RMA @ELATION LIGHTING.COM

Thanks for your reply, Ela! I just got off the phone with support and they said something similar about the PCB and sent me a RMA request form. I'm curious though, since that repair sounds like something that I would feel comfortable trying, do you know if opening the unit would void my warranty and make it so that I could no longer send it in for an RMA repair?

To whom it may concern, The display PCB's have changed in time but it's the same operating system. It could be either a bad display or a bad PCB inside. If it's within the 2 year warranty your best bet would be to send it in for warranty repair. You can always send an email to rma@elationlighting.com to set you up with a RMA to send it in. If it's not under warranty anymore and if you have another working unit with the same color display, you can always start by trying to swap out the...

The program should not be crashing, we have used the new version for days on end without hiccups, let alone a crash. The latest update is Oct 16, also make sure you are using the suidi5 driver, as it is designed for the newer interfaces. Conflicts in PC's are very common, if your problems persist, send me detailed info about your system and I will look into it. Oct 16 version and new drivers

do u have any control over the one that is moving on it's own? is there any type of light that tells u it is recieving a DMX signal? also i just checked and if u have the power spot and washes the spots are 15 channels which would mean the second one should start at A016. and if this is so is it panning and tilting on it own or just one or the other. can u tell me what u have and at what addresses?? i need to know if they are power spots and washes or what. and also if the washes are cmy or not.

ok i got it! what u want to do is put a 5 sec fade time in the second blue time box. the one with the solid blue line going up and then u want to put the last time (fade down) in the last red time box. the one with the solid RED line going DOWN! ok? try that and let me know!

well actually if u look around the web site a lot of them have the color mixing. here are a few of them. the power wash 250 and 575E,the design spot 575E, he power spot 700, design washes. and one or two more im sure. so u have a good array of choices from elation if u ask me. peace jingles!

is there any way i an visualize the color mixing?? cause rightnow all it does is stay on like light green color?? it lets me move the faders but i cannot change the colors on the 3D window!! or could i maybe add the r,g,b, channels just every other channel so that way i can mix r,g,b on the visualizer?? cause my problem is the lights are in l.a. and i am programming from wisconsin!! that is my job with this guy he wants me to program using compuware and send the files to l.a.! cool huh??

hey wassup? and welcome to the elation lighting forums! first off for the sd1 and par cans and effects. meaning non dmx fixtures u will need dimmer/ switch packs as well. what they do is u can plug ur effects and pars cans to them and depending what fixtures u have they will either dim the cans or turn on and off the effects that u have. but don't ever try to use a dimmer on a effect light cause it really need to be just shut off and on dimming them could decrease lamp life i think. also...

hey guys im doin it now but i find cause i have three reds in this fixture i think i does not sem to want to let me use 3 of em just two! also am i to click on the channels and enter in the numbers and signs for the channels patched to several diffeent outputs?? so for example that says 1= 0+1/40/60 and i enter in that in the box?? am i doin this right??? help me!! peace! jingles out!

mikey g could u please plese please make a video on how to do what jon is describing for channels patch using the profile u created for me on the colorsplashes. i think i am close but it still is not working. with the code that i am entering the last three channels ae not being patched to the output. please help! things are starting to progress and i need to use this fixture. please? Alright guys, I read throught the manual and could not find the lens replacement section. The last pages of the manual give a maintanane schedule saying that the outside optical lense should be cleaned monthly, but nothing about replacing lenses every two years. Help me out here. Yes.. Your right!! You got me on this one. It says that you need to change the lens. However after years of working with these lights I wouldn't worry about it much. These lenses last years!!! Now if you have them in an enviorment with alot of smoke, cigarete smoke and daily use like a club or bar, then this lens will take a lot of abuse and replaceing it will improve your output. But if your a mobile guy doing shows on the weekends, I wouldn't be to concerned about replaceing this lens.

i recently purchased 4 mac entours, 2 visionscan 250`s and a magic 260 controller. i`m having trouble getting to show my scenes in action...i`m really not a software guy, more hardware. i also have a dmx 192 operator w/ joy. just looking for great advice since i upgraded my lightshow from 6 Trackspots w/ universal controller (which i mastered) and wish it didn`t have lightwave protocol. let me know guys...thanx

Thank you. Found the issue. I was attempting to address the DP415s as one channel each rather than 4 like the DP-DMX-20Ls are capable of. Once I fixed that issue and found a cabling issue everyhing started working. I appreciate the reassurances! Just some additional background on me. Hi D-Rey, You have a good start, but your way off. What you want to do is start all over. In begginer mode, you can't delete or start over, so you will need to switch to expert mode. In expert mode, you need to create a new show. You will be prompted to save information. Don't save anything. Also you don't want to have any demo stuff. So creating a new show will remova all demo fixtures. Now.. Create a new page with your coemar fixture, and when you get to this section, you need to say you...

I spoke to someone from elation support last night and they were able to email the correct ssl file and actually walked me thru the basics of adding the fixtures and programming scenes how do i create a spotlight program i created a scene that blacks out one fixture and points the other toward the center of the floor and used that x/y field to move it, i wanna know if there is a way that i can have 2 fixtures pointed at the same area and follow the other

hey welcome to the forums. now don't get discouraged too easily now! the dynasty scans are a simple fixture. and the aspect of making a profile for em is not hard. in fact it should be pretty easy. i too use compuware and i have had to build my own profiles before snd those were hard! i might be able to possibly make one or you but it relly could eat up some of my time. let me know what you want to do. peace! jingles!!

hey delerious! elcome o the forums. i am pretty much the exact same way you are except im trying to make a job out of it. i suggest u download compuware. you do not need dmx for it. but you do however have to understand how dmx works. here is a link to the software. hey del. to add your own fixtures your gonna want to click on the page button on the top of your screen and then hit new page and then this window will pop up. once u see that hit he top button "create new page with the scanlibrary wizard" once you clik on that it opens up a new window. click on the top button that has a computer with a deskop tower on it and from here scrol down the list till u find martin or any other company you want to use. but make sure u address them properly. if u...

Domi, 1. 1.02 is currently the latest version. 2. When using a preset, the fixture profile must match the fixture. What fixture are you controlling? 3. You'll need to initialize the channel names. When opening the Magic 260 uploader program, close the Ulink Ver 1.08 window. Go to show forms (located on the top left corner) and select EditChName. Select Init and save. ok. thanks for letting me know... could anyone recommend a lighting control console that is accompanied with a foot controller? i play in a band and would like to have a bank saved for each song. within each bank, i would like to have several scenes... we have no problem switching banks manually, on the board, between songs. but we need the ability to navigate scenes via foot controller. thanks!

ys\es there were for me bugs/fixes and suff. download it you have nothing to lose. it just copies over ur exsiting files and all ur scenes and stuff should stay the same but just in case back up your current files. peace! jingles. also i am runing vista.

hey and welcome to the board. well i can tell this is gonna be a long post for me lol! now i acn answer most of these with ways that have worked for me but we should also see what elation says about the best way ot do some of these things. 1) you can assign a fader to adjust the speed of each individual button u have created by right clicking on the fixture page or if u have it in a master scene the master page scrool down till u see live toolbar button. u will see a size and dimmer andspeed...
