There is a way to do fade/no fade using the Midi controller. You can either do it with the virtual controller on the screen, or have an external one. Unfortunately you cannot use a single button to turn the fade on and off with the virtual board, you will have to use 2 buttons, or one of the faders on the board. Thanks James, I think I get it. I'm not sure where I got the 32 from ... looking at the online manual for that I can clearly see it's 16 ... which is plenty. So to build on your explanation, if I turn on fixture button 1 and 2, then fader 1 is acting as a fader for channel 1 and 17 at the same time, correct? Is it safe to assume that fader one is actually designed to continually send out data on channels 1, 17, 33, 49, 65, 81, 97, 113, 129, 145, 161 and 177 and then the scanner buttons just...

Hey James, hope your holiday was good! Got to work a bit with the viz over break and everything is working well except for the colors on some the fixtures that i added in. Every color is coming up green, and I've tried using High End Trackspots v1 and high def profiles and am having the same problem. eNode 4 pre-sales support questions
I'm considering the purchase of an eNode 4 ArtNet-to-DMX output device. I have some questions. 1. There doesn't appear to be any firmware download available under the Support / Downloads link on the Elation home page. Why is that? 2. I found an article in the forum that referenced a firmware updater appliance (hardware product). Does the eNode 4 indeed require a specialized appliance to perform firmware updates? If not, where are the alternate instructions and firmware update files located?

Trackspot profiles
Is there an updated profile for High End's Trackspots? V1 somewhat works, but V2 does not. (I use the 2006 version of Compuware with the blue interface). With the V1 profile, the Color and Gobo features are all screwed up. For example, Gobo #2, 3, 4, and 5 are all color scrolls, albeit different speeds. Same deal with Color. There's also about 6 or 7 different strobes--which turns out to be different flash rates. Why not just use a single strobe icon with an adjustment slider?

Just received our order of the new Design Brick 70 II. The DMX modes in the manual don't match the modes on the fixture. Through trial and error I've figured out: Color control - 5 CH MODE (DEFAULT) Color prog - 8 CH MODE Color_Saturation Hue Intensity CT - 4 CH MODE Color prog. Hue Saturation CT - 11 CH MODE Group Control - 35 CH MODE My questions, What is Pixel Grouping, and how does it work? DMX 512 and Microplex conversion
Hoping someone can help or has some knowledge on the subject. The club I'm working in uses the older protocol microplex(MPX) along with DMX. Our stage controller is an NSI board that outputs only MPX going to an NSI demultiplexer that controls (2) 6 channel Leprecon dimmers for our stage pars. I'm way late seeing this thread but I'm wondering if there is a simpler solution to this problem. He says he has 4 moving lights, some conventional pars with dimmer packs and some new led pars. As I read it he has his 4 moving lights on channels 1, 17, 33 and 49 and then he has assigned his new led fixtures to 65, 81, 97 and 113 which should be open. I'm assuming the traditional pars are on the par can side using 129 to 136. Is it possible that he is just not turning off fixture buttons 5,...

Though its functions are fairly limited, the Operator 192 will control your lights - provided none of them have to use more than 16 channels (which I haven't looked up, but I doubt). I'm not sure what problem you are having, but the first thing is to make sure the lights are all connected with DMX cables in a daisy chain from the Operator 192. It is always recommended that you put a terminator at the end of the daisy chain, but you might be able to live without it. If the lights are erratic...

Calling either ADJ or Elation should work (there is a lot of cross-over between the technical staff of the two companies). I got the 1, 17, 33, 49, 65, 81, 97 and 113 addresses from page 8 of the O192 manual. It shows that it can only control lights when in a mode that uses 16 or fewer channels. Make sure you not only have the right DMX address but that you have it in a DMX mode of 16 channels or less [read the instructions for each light]. Note also that you have only 8 sliders on the O192...

Hello- I am new to outdoor set up/outdoor venue elements. A theatre I work for has done a couple of small outdoor concerts and weather was not a concern.
