That just explains channel issues, not the strobing with internal programs and stand alone. The revision of the manual is from 12/06, and the 7 channel list is from 5/07, so the manual has yet to be updated for 7 channels or 6 channel lights are still being made/sold. What I stated is merely what was in black and white in front of me and what was sent with the product. There is a way to do fade/no fade using the Midi controller. You can either do it with the virtual controller on the screen, or have an external one. Unfortunately you cannot use a single button to turn the fade on and off with the virtual board, you will have to use 2 buttons, or one of the faders on the board. Every color is coming up green, and I've tried using High End Trackspots v1 and high def profiles and am having the same problem. OK Here goes. As of the last beta of CompuShow I tested, the profile editor still did not allow for a fixture to have multiple R, G, or B slots. Therefor, you can patch a matrix with the full profile but the effects will only work for pixel 1. (Very few console manufacturers have this capability built in to their consoles as of yet.) Build a Matrix of 3 Channel RGB Units. It can be handy to open a 3 channel LED fixture profile in the PROFILE EDITOR and name it Pixel and save it as Pixel.

eNode 4 pre-sales support questions
I'm considering the purchase of an eNode 4 ArtNet-to-DMX output device. I have some questions. 1. There doesn't appear to be any firmware download available under the Support / Downloads link on the Elation home page. Why is that? 2. I found an article in the forum that referenced a firmware updater appliance (hardware product). Does the eNode 4 indeed require a specialized appliance to perform firmware updates? If not, where are the alternate instructions and firmware update files located?

Intermittent error 05, 06 & 07 DS 250
I keep getting intermittent error. When I brings the lights home, I get no error but at the show the fixture gives me 05, 06 & 07 error, I transport in the elation ATA dual case. I don't want to ship it n, because that alone is $100 round trip from Georgia, Also I have owner 6 of these fixture and error 5, 6 & 7 are the only errors I get ever get.

Design 36 LED - Initializing Problems
I have 4 Design 36 LED's. 3 are new (bought w/in the last month) and 1 was purchased in July of 07. The 3 new ones work fine. The older one behaves a little strange. First let me state that the following behavior happens when all 4 LED's are linked together and all set to the same DMX channel via the dip switches. I power-on all 4 lights and the controller (DMX Operator 192). The 3 good lights blink quickly (so I know they have power) and are quiet (no audible fan running). The bad light...

Hello there, I purchased 4 white design spot 250w... 2 work fine the other 2, I've had problems since day 1... The problem is that whenever I plug the fixture in to the power outlet, it starts to crack... Trackspot profiles
Is there an updated profile for High End's Trackspots? V1 somewhat works, but V2 does not. (I use the 2006 version of Compuware with the blue interface). With the V1 profile, the Color and Gobo features are all screwed up. For example, Gobo #2, 3, 4, and 5 are all color scrolls, albeit different speeds. Same deal with Color. There's also about 6 or 7 different strobes--which turns out to be different flash rates. Why not just use a single strobe icon with an adjustment slider?

Three errors on a design spot 250
I had my wife buy this unit down in Florida and it had three error messages: 05, 06 & 07. Each error could have multiple causes. EG, error coder 05 "This message will appear after a fixture reset if the color wheel’s magneticindexing circuit malfunctions (sensor failed or magnet is missing) or there is a stepper motor failure (defective motor or a defective motor IC drive on the main PCB)." How do I isolate what the cause is for each? Thanks for your help.

My interface isn't recognized any more. USB Suite2-BC I was running Compu Show, the June 7 release, and everything was working fine. Design Spot 250 multiple errors
One of my original design spot 250's will run fine for a few minutes then starts having issues. It appears that the first thing to crap out is the shutter then everything but the pan and tilt. I can reset the fixture and everything will function again but only for a few minutes before the same errors occur. Eventually resetting the fixture does nothing and i get the following errors: 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 13. Any suggestions?

Design Spot 250 error
Hi, I am getting error 05, 06 & 07. Also during the channel test, nothing happens for channels 7 (gobo retation), channel 15 (scan speed) and channel 16 (Auto Program). For Channel 2 (pan high resolution) it only moves about 2 degrees and then resets and repeats. Same with Channel 4 (Tilt high resolution). What could be causing these error? IS it something I can fix myself? I have two other units I could borrow parts from to try and fix. Thanks for your help!

thanks for the reply that's pretty much the direction I've been heading, as far as grouping compressed buttons for a song; there has to be an intent from Elation when this was designed, as far as how to group scene/switch for songs; James, do you know this??? as to the ordering, it goes a character at a time, so everything with a '1' in the first character get's grouped, then everything with a '2', and so forth; then the second character comes into play, so '1' then '10' then '11' etc to get...

Re: Problems with compu 2006 with 1024EC
Yes. If I am using the USB box with programmed scenes, it works fine. If I am using the easy stand alone program on the PC, I have issues. The LEDs are NOT plugged into the dimmer. The dimmer runs all of the house incandescent lights only. The LEDs are powered from straight 120v circuits (no dimmers) with DMX control. According to Tech support, the new software dated 12-21-07 on your web site should fix this issue. I downloaded it today and will let you know.
