I have 4 Design 36 LED's. 3 are new (bought w/in the last month) and 1 was purchased in July of 07. The 3 new ones work fine. The older one behaves a little strange.

First let me state that the following behavior happens when all 4 LED's are linked together and all set to the same DMX channel via the dip switches.

I power-on all 4 lights and the controller (DMX Operator 192). The 3 good lights blink quickly (so I know they have power) and are quiet (no audible fan running). The bad light does not blink at all, but the fan runs continuously (so I know it has power).

When I select a blue scene, for example, the 3 good lights turn blue, the bad light does nothing (fan still running). Just for the hell of it, I try swapping XLR cable going to the first light...still no light (fan runs the whole time).

So, I've eliminated the cable. I it's not the controller, b/c the other 3 lights work fine on the same channel. Power is good b/c the fan is running.

Then, after about 15 minutes of the fan continuously running and no light output, the fan stops and the light comes on (blue, to match the others). After that, the light behaves like it should.

I try to recreate this by powering-off the bad light, unplugging it from the wall, waiting a while, then powering it back on. This time it starts right up (light works, no audible fan).

A few days later, I go through the same process, and everything behaves the same: bad light doesn't work for about 15-20 minutes (while fan is running), then just starts working out of the blue and fan cuts off.

Does anyone have a clue as to what could be wrong / other things I could try?

Thanks,
Brian
