I have several Elation 15r spots that have problems with the gobo unit as well as with the zoom unit.
Initially we serviced them all 100% and re-greased them. Everything is very easy to move.
It seems to me that there is a voltage problem as the fans keep turning at different speeds.
I hope someone knows this problem and has a solution.

Greetings, are there any errors showing on the display? also if you disconnect power how is the wheels rotation? smooth? Notch?? it could be a current issue meaning the driver maybe weak and underpowering the steppers. Try reseating the molex. Lastly these units have been discontinued for some time and parts are no longer available.

no, no errors are displayed and everything seems to be running without the lamp for the time being. The error only occurs when the lamp is in operation.
At the moment it only affects a moving head.
I have just unplugged all the plugs and plugged them back in.
Interesting, have you tried another lamp? if yes then i would suggest swapping the ballast with a known good ballast. i wonder if the ballast is drawing too much current causing a dip in operating current causing phantom errors/issues.
Which of the elements is the ballast?
