Hi, I am considering purchasing Compu Show and have a question about show programming. I currently use Pangolin Quick show for my laser and DMX control however, after hitting over 150 DMX channels, it has become very cumbersome to use.

To build shows, I would create a page for each fixture type e.g. I would have a page for my QSpot 160's, and another page for my mania SCX 500's.(very similar concept to Compu Show). Then I would build a bunch of scenes JUST for that fixture and save it on the fixture page. I would do this until I had approx 60 scenes per fixture. Then I would use the timeline feature to mix and match scenes from various fixtures to build a new scene based on multiple fixtures and I would layer the scenes so that more than 1 set of fixtures would be on at the same time.

So my question is, is this a good practice? It seems like it would be. And can Compu Show do something similar?

I know you can save scenes on each fixture page. But I can't find a way to layer scenes from multiple pages together. If it's not possible, how should I be building my shows diffidently? When you have so many fixtures, it becomes extremely time consuming to try and create a single scene utilizing multiple fixtures.

I also tried cycles, but it only allows you to play/record 1 scene at a time so that won't work.

Thanks for any advice.

A week after posting this message, no one has been able to help me. Surely this is a simple question that anyone who uses Compu Show could answer. What's worse is that I also emailed Elation sales and didn't get a response either.

I am starting to question whether Compu Show is a wise purchase. I have tried to be patient, and now I am just very frustrated.
