I want to use an external board to run 24 can lights and run it thru the dongle so I don’t have to run 2 sets of dmx cables. I set up a new show to play with and I have the 24 lights in channels 1-24. I can turn each channel on and off with the compulive faders. I then went in to the MIDI console and picked the dmx512 as my generic control. I have the external board hooked up to the dongle and I can see 24 sliders move on the MIDI page as I move them on the external control. Things were going so well. I then created scene 1 with nothing in it. I then edited scene 1 to have channel 1 at 100%, saved then exited. Fader 1 on my external control now controlled channel 1 on the compulive. So far, so good. I then tried to do the same thing to the next few channels. I created scene 2, then edit scene 2, channel 2 at 100%, save and exit. I moved the external fader for channel 2 expecting the second channel on the software to move but it moved channel one. My save scenes were empty so they did not include any information from scene 1. So I am not sure what to do next. I've tried several different channels and they all run channel 1 for some reason. How do I get each channel on the MIDI to control each channel on the software? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
