MIDI mapping issue with APC40

I am having a small issue mapping my APC40. I have the Console window open and I have the APC40 profile loaded. When I start the 'Learn MIDI console preset' I hit the first button and it gets mapped to the MIDI 'on' value but then it maps the second button with the MIDI 'off' value of the first button. That means that I can only used every other button. I have also tried going into the Console Setings tab but i cant change the 'infos'. All I can do is zero out the 'infos'. Anyone have a solution?

I would also love it if someone could make a tutorial on mapping a controler like the APC40. I would like to know more about all the different funtions that can be mapped and how to best use a controler.

Fixed!! The 'Learn MIDI console preset' worked for half of the buttons. Go back and find the misaligned buttons and right click on the corresponding button in the Console Window. That brings up the the controller button settings. Go to the Console Setup tab and hit 'Auto setup MIDI'. Do that for each wrong button and you are done. It takes some time but it worked.
