Plat spot 5r issue

Hi,

Ive been meaning to post this for a while now, but like always finding the time between everything is slim!!!

I have 4 Plat spot 5r's

One of which the lamp randomly turns off, its done it at several events.

The last was an event where it was programmed through its interface, i had to turn the unit off and on again to respark....

Not a great look when you are lighting something up at an event!!!

Any idea's what this could be?

couple things you want to look at. first check the fan at the lamp. make sure its turning at the appropriate velocity. you can compare it to another unit to confirm. if ok then try a different lamp.

Hi Gines,

It seems to be turning at the same speed,

I checked the head temp and its registering at 13F, i assume i may have a dodgy temp sensor?

is this an easy fix?

its possible. as a precaution do you have another unit? i would like you to try swapping the display.
