Scene Setter (24) - How do you MIDI out on the faders??

I am trying to figure out how to use MIDI outs on my scene setter 24. The manual just says to set a midi out, hold down record and hit the channel 2 flash button three times. But, you need to be in record mode first!! So I get the "CHO" on my display, and.... now what??

I get midi signals from the flash buttons and other buttons, but nothing on the faders. Is that even available on this controller?? I hope so...
