I am using my SD 3 for the first time this week. So far I am making only fair progress on programming, but hope to make more progress tomorrow night. Anyway I am having trouble figuring out how to get the built-in color and gobo chase patterns to work. This is when you want to record a chase and the board gives you options on what kind of chase...shape, color, gobo, etc. I have tried the motion chase patterns and they are working as intended. However as I said when you select a color or gobo chase pattern my fitxtures dont appear to be responding by chainging color or gobo. I feel that I may not be doing something just right. Any advice on the proper way to do this would be helpful. Incidentally I have four High End technobeams patched in 18 channels each.

Hopefully by the end of the week I will have some dimmer packs patched in as well. I am guessing that adding the dimmers to the mix will be painless? Any comments/help on that would be appereciated.

Hi PitMan,

It's important to use fixture profiles to take advantage of all the features SD3 offers.
currently you are probably using a factory profile that was in the memory of the desk.
What you want to do is load a fixture profile you can download from out website for the Technobeam, it has attributes needed for those chases to work.

best regards,
