I've been looking around the forums and couldn't find a direct answer to my problem, so forgive me if this has already been explained, but:

Just got 4 new LED Par64 cans (ADJ I believe) and trying to get them to play nice with the Stage Setter 8. I'm not sure if it's a programming/addressing issue with the board or the lights, but I can get the four of them (daisy chained, directly into the board) "working" on fader channels 4 through 8. The issue however is that each of the channel faders goes through each DMX setting (0-255), meaning the lights go through each of their settings (RGB combos, flashes/strobes) and are very difficult to control and impractical to use for our purposes.

I'd like to set it up (I assumed with the 1x16 mode) where I can get three channels of the RGB for EACH light, and control their intensities. For example channels 4-6 control RGB for the first light, 7-9 for the second, etc. up to channel 15.

In theory I have enough channels on the stage setter 8 to do that. I can then mix the colors on my own with the channel faders and don't need to rely on the presets. I tried programming master scenes in 8x8 mode but the same issue arises (goes through each color/strobe setting based on 0-255 DMX).

Is this even possible? Neither manual lends any helpful advice. The digital DMX addressing on the back of the lights have three main settings:
Speed (for auto running program and strobe, not important to me);
A001-A512 (aka address) for the channel (I have my lights set to A001, A002, A003, A004), A001 starts at channel fader 4 for some reason;
and Pro1-16 where (according to the manual, er, two page misspelled pamphlet) Pro1-7 are for signal color and mixing color, 8-14 are for signal color strobe and mixing color strobe, 15 is for the three color auto running program, and 16 is for mixing color auto running program. Not entirely sure what exactly the "pro" settings refer to...makes no difference in my case what it is is set to (tried all).

The back page of the light pamphlet simply says "Channel 1=Blue, Channel 2=Green, Channel 3=Red, Channel 4=Auto Color Chase, Channel 5=Strobe, Channel 6=Dimmer." That is what I want, Channels 1-3 for each one programmed to an individual fader on the stage setter 8. Not sure what the "Channel 6 Dimmer" is exactly, but I'd like to have the individual colors be able to fade with intensity (dim).

Sorry for the long post but I figure more info is better. Hopefully someone can help me tackle this. Thanks in advance!!

The board you are using is designed and intended to be used ONLY on Conventional Par cans hooked up to dimmer packs. The board was not intended to be used on intelligent fixtures such as the ADJ Par 64 LED's as those use multiple channels (6 channels per Par 64 LED in this case) and the programming just won't look right no matter how hard you try. I believe there is no 3 channel mode, but it depends on the exact model of the LED par 64's you have. In short, you are using the wrong controller for those lights.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Yes this will work...
you will have to use the (4) LED pars in pairs to do it...... Your fixtures are 6 channels meaning you have to allot 6 channels per light.... you need to run the board in 1x16 mode.... assign 2 of the LEDS to channel 1 (dip switch 1) and assign 2 of the LEDS to channel 9 (dip switches 4 & 1) now your lights will work.... DMX channel 6 on your LEDS is master level dim.... DMX channels 1,2,3 on your LEDS are the individual color mixing... channel 4 is factory color chases.....
