DesignWash LED 60 pan issue

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I had a fairly decent-sized show with 26 Vari*lites and a dozen DesignWash LED 60's. Control was via a Martin M1. We ran two performances in the same day and powered off the entire rig while the theatre was dark.

When we powered up for the second show I noticed that I had lost complete control of the pan function of one of the DW LED 60's. The pan motor was definitely engaged, however it remained positioned at roughly 45 degrees-from-centre and would not respond to commands from the console. All other functions (including tilt) worked without issue.

I tried a soft and hard reset of the fixture without success, and also used the 'restore all settings to default' function in the menu. No success. Any idea what else I should check? Please let me know asap!

Is there any resistance on the pan? If not remove the arm covers and check the belt.

Yes, there is resistance. During the bootup/reset process the pan homes as normal; it just ignores all DMX control.

Are there any error codes on the display? If not then it may be with the set up. Perhaps you can re-address it the same as a functioning unit just to test.
