Copyright Key Data Error

I have a show designer 3 and when I turn it on the screen says, "copyright key data error." It wont let me do anything with the board, the whole thing is frozen up. I have tried turning it on on off and removing the SD card but nothing seems to work.
Does anybody have any ideas?

There is an ID chip inside that holds an internal serial number. If the processor can't find the chip you will get that error. You will have to have the unit serviced to fix this problem.

The service would replace the CPU which is in a socket, not a major thing.

Hello,
I'm from Tunisia and I have the same problems with my consoles installed in many night club and I'm in the middle of the summer and I can't send the the console to be repaired out of Tunisia.
can you please help me to find a solution...

as SD man mentions its probably some sort of PCB issue. if you are comfortable open up the
show designer and physically look at the pcb's. sometimes you can see the damage/ for example
a burnt component on the PCB. inspect first, if you see damage then you will need to have it
serviced or exchange the pcb yourself.
