Magic 260 deletes everything

Hello,

i have a strange problem with my magic260 controller: it deletes all the information (fixtures, scenes etc), which is in the memory, just from one switch off to the next switch on. even if i put all the fixture-dates again on the desk via ulink, i just need to switch off the magic two or three times, and after that, everything is lost again.
So please help me, caue i really need the magic260 to work with.

What software version is the M260 running? [It will show you the "Ver" as its booting up.

it shows: magic 260, revision 1.05M

Upgrading to 1.07 might help. I'd at least give it a try. I could forward it along with instructions as to how to install it to you if you would give me your email address. If you'd rather not do that, hopefully one of the Elation tech guys will volunteer to send it after reading this.

If it is doing this, most likely the issue is internal. I have heard of the memory being lost due to a short in the unit or a power surged. Which software are you inquiring about? The actual board you own? If you are inquiring about this, then you will be able to tell what your board is running by simply removing the third jog wheel and looking at the revision on the chip. This is the version your magic 260 is running. Thanks.

In order to upgrade it, the actual IC chip needs to be replaced. You cannot upgrade the revision with out the IC chip. Sorry about that.
