Just picked up an Operator Pro and 4 chauvet intimidator 1.2's to add to my rig.
I'm moving along fine with the OP pro but a couple of questions.
I had originally intended to put all my lights on the OP pro but that is not seeming to work out.....
I have
UP TRUSS:
4 intimadator 1.2 (5 ch.)
2 intimidator 1.0 (4 ch)
2 martin SCX500's (6 or 8 ch),
6 LED par 64 (4 ch)
4 AMDJ colorpro 250 spots (2 ch)
an array of 12 30w white pinspots on dimmer pack
DOWN TRUSS:
2 chauvet color strips (4 ch)
8 conv. par cans on dimmer packs for downtruss
I had hoped to put 2 scanners (with unique DMX addresses) per fixture button to save room, but that doesnt work well and blows the usages of common pan/tilt function. I had hoped to do the same with the LED pars and put them on one fixture button broken up in sets of 2 (i.e. 12 channels), but just proving too difficult and not ergonomic to program.....
That's fine I have a Elation stage setter 8 which handles all the LED pars as well as the color pro spots in the 16 channels and i have programmed that with 8 chases that I use for stage wash and just adjust the speed as needed.
Back the the Op pro board: is there a way to reverse the pan and not the tilt on the joystick? and assign that to specific fixtures... I am already savvy to assigning the stick with proper channel assignment per fixture buttons.
Also.... I have programmed a few scenes as a test with the scanners, and then as a test, programmed a show utilizing those test scenes.... I can set the speed and fade to the steps of the show and I get how that works.... is there a way to set a speed/fade to the scenes? So when I press a scene it wont just go to position instantly, but might have a predetermined timing to it?
Also:
There on my martin SCX 500's, there is a firmware update available but you need aparently martin lightjockey to do the update? Anyone know how that works... basically the update allows the fixture to be set to pan and/or tilt reversing, and gives you a multitude of built in macros, unavailable without the update?
