Platinum 5R went up in smoke!

I borrowed 2 Platinum 5R for 34 shows in a row and they have worked excellent.
Pulled them out of the box 2 months later and when I tried them one of them didn´t start.
It reacted as if it didn´t have any power at all. Suddenly I heard a sissling noise and a cloud of smoke came out of the fixture?!
Anyone experienced this?

I have placed an order on twelve Platinum 5R PRO.
And can´t help being a little worried about this!

hello Dirty, well this is a first. please inspect the lamp , maybe some debris fell
on the lamp itself. if ok then please remove head covers and simply do a visual inspection and see if anything seems out of place. then please give support a call at 323-213-4593.

We should also check lamp hours. This lamp needs to be changed immediately when the recommended lamp life hours has been reached.

I will have a look.
The lamp and fixture has about 250 hours total.

It looks like a electrolyt capacitor has blown.
A 1000uf 35V located on one of the sides of the arms that the head axels go into. Don´t know what it´s called, I´m Swedish

I´ll tell the owner of this fixture and he will contact support.
