Stage Setter 8 HELP!

Hi DivAngie and welcome to the forums.

I can answer your second question for you, but not the first unfortunately (don't know the Stage Setter line of consoles). Hopefully jingles will be along to answer that one soon.

A terminator is a good idea for really long runs of DMX or when you have a lot of units on a single line of DMX. DMX can handle 32 units per line, be it LEDs, dimmer packs, dimmer racks, moving lights, foggers, scanners, or anything else DMX based. Unless that dimmer pack is at the end of 400+ feet of DMX, you shouldn't have to worry about it, though it is always a good idea and can't hurt. Reflections in DMX don't really start till about 500' or so.

Thank you so much for your help. I did manage to figure out how to get the pre-set working but not only that I even made two of my own!( I feel so smart) lol The show went perfectly last night. I am so glad y'all are here to help us newbies! Thanks again!

Did you figuire how create your own chase program ywt, Im in the same boat as you, just recently received the a new stage 8 and trying to figuire it out.
