Re: SD3 Playbacks containing presets, selected fixtures question

sdman ·
Maybe try using a scene instead of a preset. If I recall, presets usually require you to select fixtures ahead of time before calling. Scenes will simply include whatever you put in the scene. It's been a while since I worked with this so I don't recall every detail. It should be in the instruction manual though.

i did that, when i setup that switch it just moves to 4 different points in a cycle, the type of spot i was looking for is one that focuses on a certain point stays there until i move it. i was able to achieve this by setting a scene with with 2 fixtures pointed to the same spot and then moving them with the x/y preset button but i'm only able to control one fixture at a time. is there a way to have them both follow one mouse movement?

Re: Magic 260

surgeprotech ·
Domi, 1. 1.02 is currently the latest version. 2. When using a preset, the fixture profile must match the fixture. What fixture are you controlling? 3. You'll need to initialize the channel names. When opening the Magic 260 uploader program, close the Ulink Ver 1.08 window. Go to show forms (located on the top left corner) and select EditChName. Select Init and save. The Channel names will now appear when creating a profile. Please call me if you continue to have any problems Sergio C.

more of an angled view. I plan on removing the existing cans over the stage. That way these Riva 80 cans can be used as stage lighting and also will have a preset where they are as white as they will go and can be used as rehearsal/work lights. If they shine well at that height, the pastor wants another dozen sets over the sanctuary this summer.

ybravo, When you say your focus spots move slow, are you refering to the preset movements of the compu? Say for example the circle moves slow? If so, have you adjusted the speed fader to see if it speeds up? With the Coemars, you need to see if both the dimmer channel and the shutter channel are 100%. Click on the Center button for that fixture and then from the drop down menu choose button then edit. look for the dimmer and shutter channels and see if they are 100% if not make them 100%...

No, all the preset movements on all those switches (i think thats what they're called)have been set to go as fast as they can, but the focus spot still moves slow. When i activate the Circle Swtich, The coemars move fast, but the focus spot move slow and i moved the speed on the bottom of the circle switch to as high as it goes for both pages. Even when i use my mouse to move them, the focus spot still rspond a lil slow, the move faster with the mouse but not as fast as they suppose to. Help?

Partime, Seeing as you have an A/B switch this would be easy. I would recommend the AR 32 System. http://www.elationlighting.com/product.asp?ProductIDNum...ecorder%20Controller You can use Compu live to set your preset intensity levels, and mount this on the wall. When Compu is Off and your set to B, then the AR-32 can run your house lights.

Have you checked the fuses in the packs? They might be blown. The next question is have you tired the console with other packs/fixtures to see if it is outputting? Also make sure that your master fader, preset fader, memory fader, and cross fade fader are at 100% as well, otherwise the lights won't turn on depending on what mode you are in. Lastly, make sure the blackout key isn't on.

Correct, or you can run it in two scene preset mode. Setup your first scene on X and then build your next scene on Y. Then simply cross fade between the two. When in scene Y, build your next scene on X and just continue the process. Its not that bad, but you do have the write down levels for each channel for yet 'cue/scene' which can lead to a lot of paper work. I once had to do a show with 3 separate two scene preset consoles and a strobe controller. Was rather interesting because I used my...

To record a scene with color only, you will have to clear the buffer first, then only select the color using a wheel or a preset. If you have the lights positioned, that will be part of the scene. Hold the black button to clear the buffer, select a color, then save the scene. You won't be able to see the color on the lights.

I would like to create scenes within CompuLive then record them on the board so that all you can use the bump button or fader to call up the preset.
