ok to adjust a circle movement: you create a blank scene and then you go ino edit and then you will click on the east time editor tab then once u do that u right click on the box that says "right click here to automatically create motion" and select automatic circle. assign how many points u want to then click ok. then once again right click on a pont in your circle and select shape properties. and then u can manaually adjust where you want the beam to stay within a certain area. understand?

Hi Mcqueena, I got this information from my DMX OPERATOR PRO GUY Yes… but he has to create a show first then follow the instructions below. Select the “SHOW” button that you wish to playback. The selected Show or Shows will begin to run immediately including the originally set speed and fade times. However, the selected Show speed and fade times can manually be adjusted on the fly by simultaneously pressing the “SHOW” # button followed by the “STEP/MIX/SEQ” button. A rapidly flashing Show...

Re: COEmars and elation fixtures on the same control???

So i went out and bought the Compu 1024EC program, the programs is great, however i am having a little problem. My Focus Spots 250 move extremely slow. The Coemars are not as bright as they are suppose to be (they move good though). The manual doesn't give much help. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem. I have them set as 1,17,33,49,65> (thesse are the channels for the coemars) then the focus spot 250 continue as : 81,92,103,114. Am i seeting the channels wrong. Please help if you can.

Re: COEmars and elation fixtures on the same control???

ybravo, When you say your focus spots move slow, are you refering to the preset movements of the compu? Say for example the circle moves slow? If so, have you adjusted the speed fader to see if it speeds up? With the Coemars, you need to see if both the dimmer channel and the shutter channel are 100%. Click on the Center button for that fixture and then from the drop down menu choose button then edit. look for the dimmer and shutter channels and see if they are 100% if not make them 100%...

No, all the preset movements on all those switches (i think thats what they're called)have been set to go as fast as they can, but the focus spot still moves slow. When i activate the Circle Swtich, The coemars move fast, but the focus spot move slow and i moved the speed on the bottom of the circle switch to as high as it goes for both pages. Even when i use my mouse to move them, the focus spot still rspond a lil slow, the move faster with the mouse but not as fast as they suppose to. Help?

Thanks for the welcome James. The answer I found was actually from a post of yours from the other forum, so I appreciate it! Our music alternates between full tilt country (if there is such a thing) to moderately slow ballad type songs. I think what I may try is have the fast chases activate with the audio from the kick drum, and let the slow songs chase to the time set on the fader. More on this as I get further into it. Again, thanks! Manford p.s. I've found a few simple videos out on...

Alright, the verdict is in. I setup a simple chase, and activated it with both the audio and auto modes. Auto worked great, as I was able to set the speed to about 4 seconds, and the fade to around 3.8. All scanners moved nice and slow to the next chase step, just like I want. HOWEVER... Activate the audio chase, and everything just sort of stayed in the middle, trying to catch up. Seems like the FADE still applies to the chases in audio mode as well. Any way around this? Is there any method...

Update! I have come up with a hardwired (literally) solution to the issue with fade time deactivation. I'll try to explain as clearly as I can, and apologize ahead of time if I lose anyone along the way. I'm using the Behringer FCB1010 to control the Operator 192 via MIDI. What I forgot about the 1010, is the ability to use the 2 built in "Switches" to control analog functions of amplifiers, just like a traditional stomp box that controls reverb/clean channel functions, etc. These are simple...

I like the fact that the Duo is a 1u system as I am trying to keep things compact for my mobile show. As it sits right now I will be using the DMX portion of the Duo to control the Color Strips. I would like to control each color as independent washes (ie blue for slow dance) and then from there any of the chases etc than can be accomplished. I have downloaded and installed the software for the Duo to upload and backup scenes, thinking (I was told) that it would let me program it. So, how...

Thanks Chris, The only DMX channel I was adjusted was the DIMMER channel (channel 7 according to Magic-260). All other channels remained the same. I did some experimenting and the only time I got the fade time to work is when I was repositioning lights from point A to point B. In this scenario I could use the fade to say do it in...

Your pan motor can be going out. Usually I would say that somehow the speed channel has been engaged somehow and is simply in slow mode. But it could also be a motor??? See if you can get the channel to match one of the good moving ones. If it moves exactly the same, then its not mechanical its in the programming, however if it still moves slow, the controller is sending the exact same command as a good working one, so it would most likely be a motor going out. also check the fans on that...

In the case of lighting, a channel also does one thing, it just may not be a consistent thing as different channels do different things. That's the key is knowing that at least in regards to intel...

Make a chase that does what you are describing and include that chase in a scene. Try a 4 step chase that points the lights at opposite corners of the room at each of the 4 corners. Set the speed to slow and fade rate at 100%. The two lights should move along the sides. You can have them move in opposite directions or in the same direction. If you do it with 2 chases you can even run the 2 lights at different speeds.

Re: Wierd bugs with SD3

Inside the SD3, the program memory is stored on a flash memory chip and the user memory, where the scenes and such are stored, is on SRAM that is connected to a battery. The battery keeps the memory alive when the power is off. This is the most common way for a device like this to operate. The battery life should be good for several years and the SD3 performs a battery check on power up. Flash memory is the most reliable memory and doesn't require a battery but it is slow to write so is not...

So the motions that can be used are limited to what is pre-programmed into my light, correct? The movers I got (on eBay, they were cheap and apparently that's why!) have some pre-programmed stuff, but it's motion -AND- lights. I can't over-ride the lights and use my own colors so they're not very useful. It can be done other ways, just making sure I'm not missing the easy way!
