ok im buying 2 of the American DJ Mega Pixel LED
but its not 512 will that matter with any of the other lights that are 512 ?

Do you mean DMX-512? All fixtures that have DMX control are DMX-512A. So the Mega Pixel LEDs will work with other DMX fixtures.

You should not experience the issues people are having with the Chauvet Color Strips if that is what you are worrying about. That is something Chauvet physically does to the fixtures to make that happen so they don't work well with other controllers. Then cheap knock off companies have issues with firmware and cheap DMX drives which is the cause of the issues with them.
