does it give you any errors when it starts up? i haven't heard of anything but i will keep a look out for it. also what version do you have on that fixture?

V 1.2 Tested again this morning, same results.
Extended Mode shutter channel responds incorrectly. Standard and Basic Mode are fine.
0-31 = closed (correct)
32-63 = open (correct)
64-95 = strobe (not working)
96-127 = open (correct)
128-159 = pulse (not working)
160-191 = open (correct)
192-223 = random (not working)
224-255 = open (correct)

this sounds like a profile issue. the shutter has the same values but in different channels. so if it works on one it has to work on the other. if it was a fixture issue it would affect it in all modes.

I agree it doesn't seem that it should be the light. It doesn't make sense. But...

I have tested this with MA2, Avo Pearl Expert(Titan), Hog3 Full Boar, Martin M1, and Chamsys MagicQ. The profiles for all these boards work fine in standard and basic mode. But none work in Extended. I have even tested channel by channel raw DMX with a Leprecon 48ch dumb board.(one to one patch only)

If its not in the fixture, the only explanation is that 5 different profiles from 5 different operating systems are all incorrect in the exact same way. (And my Leprecon has a bad channel that affects the exact same thing) That would be incredibly coincidental.

I have tested two separate fixtures. Next week I will test a few more to confirm that I see the same error.

can you tell me what version is on your user manual? might be a miss print on the traits? ill check and see if there has been any changes on the dmx traits and ill pull one from inventory to test this out.

I'm no longer near the fixture or manual. My brain wants to remember the manual was V1.1, but I'm not certain. I used the DMX traits available on the product page to test with raw DMX. I'm in contact with Rafael at Elation via email as well and will take a video of what I find to send to him.

I just received 4 new Beam Extreme fixtures. They all have this same problem in extended mode. The only strobe function that works for me is the random. They are all ver 1.2.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I have tested with the Martin M1 and Avo Titan One.

Elation is well aware of the issue with extended mode. We've communicated back and forth quite a bit about it; I've been waiting for news on a fix for awhile now. Use in standard mode until then, it works fine.
