basic programing stage setter 8

I am trying to simply assign each fader to some par56 can lights. the ss8 is connected to dp-dmx20l to another dp-dmx-20l. 1st dp has 1234 lights and second has lights in 1 and 3. How do I assign the lights to the dimmers? I know this is bottom line basic but I am old and this is new not analog...HELP please jtme

Jtme,
First make sure that you have the packs on 4 channel mode. Press the menu button until the display reads 1CH, 2CH or 4CH. You want it on 4CH.

Now press the mode button until the display reads A---. Assign the first dimmer pack to A001 and the 2nd dimmer pack to A005.

You should now have control of both packs using the first 8 sliders on the Stage Setter 8.
