Creating a new "show"

We are having an Easter Production this weekend at my church, and I will need to build lots of scenes just for it. I run all my led and moving lights off of the master page, and already have it full of scenes. I have tried in the past to create a new show file with scenes just for special stuff, but it never really worked right. When I would open up the new show file, it would just stack the new show stuff on top of the old show, both pages and scenes.

Am I doing this right, or is there a better way??

Sounds like you are opening a archive file (.SPA) rather than a show file (.SES) Which file type are you trying to open?

Hmm. I honestly could not tell you because its been a while since I tried this. I do not have compu on my home computer now so ill have to try again when I get to the church tonight. The best I can remember was that I was going to save the show under file, and then opening that show.

So I should be able to switch between shows with custom master pages in each show?? When I go to open a new show, and it ask if I want to save to the current show, how should I handle this?

you can but i would really just put all i need for a show in one show file and not spread out over multiple show files. I suppose it will work but is sort of a unconventional method of playback in my opinion. but whatever works for you. Let me know once you get a chance to test it out.
