well usually macros are preprogrammed colors or focusing effets and so on. why did u need to know before you buy? i would really just program my own anyways. peace! welcome to the forums.
Yes, I'd like to have some ideas before I purchase. I plan to program my own but would like to have an idea of capabilities. Is it possible to over-write these preprogrammed macros?
the preprogrammed macros are like mini programs built in to the DMX values of the fixture i don't believe there is a way to overwrite these as it is part of the programming on a chip in the fixture but you can simply not use them. also you never know u may end up liking all of the macros or most of them. trust me the CMY zoom is very cabable of doing lots of cool things! peace! jingles.
