DMX Operator Pro Problems

I bought a used DMX Operator Pro. I knew there were some issues, but I got a very good deal. I am wanting to do repairs now, but could use some advice, if anyone has it.

The issue is with the LEDs on the machine itself. Every now and then they all start blinking and flashing - basically just going crazy. So far the actual functionality of the board seems great. Lights fade, pan, tilt, etc.

I'm guessing a chip inside is going bad...any ideas on which one or other ideas on what to check?
