I can't quite figure out the fixture grouping and could use some help.

I have 12 LED par cans. I created a scene with all on. Then I found the fixture grouping and want to break them up into various combinations. It seems this would an easier way to create various scenes with the same channel settings, rather than having to go into Easy Step and manually change each one separately.

The manual does not explain what each icon is:

1) When I click on the blue/orange square icon and then selecting various fixtures (by holding the control key) the fixtures begin to turn orange. Then what? I don't see the ability to group them anywhere. Nor do Isee the "Live/Save/Select" icons shown page 44 of the manual.

2) If I click on the mouse icon, next to the blue orange/square, the fixtures turn Red when I select them. The manual does not seem to explain the difference. But I still don;t see how to group.

3) What do the orange signs with the "+" and the "++" do?

What I realy want to do is simply build a series of static scenes and have them advance to the next scenes based on the beat of the music. For a real simple example - I have 12 LED PARs and say I make four scenes. Scene 1: the even number PARs are programmed Red color, Scene 2: the odd numbered PARs are programmed a Blue color, Scene three: all green, Scene four: all white. I want ConpuLive to accept an audio signal and advance through scenes 1 - 4, then loop, based on the beat of the music.

I have programmed several scenes that are triggered by the keyboard. As the audio is driving the light show, I want hit a key and switch to a different set of scenes.

I guess I am not sure if the the best way to go to accoompliash this is through steps building to a single scene (where the audio advances the steps) or alternatively build a cycle of scenes (where the audio advances the scenes within the cycle), where there may or may not be more than one step in the scene.

Interest in your thoughts. Thank you.
