Group Fixtures

I have 4 American DJ Accuspot 250 hybrids. All on different dmx channels. I want to control them individually but also have them do the same thing at times. I would like to have them all move left to right or vice versa and then have them move in all different directions. Is this possible? How would you do this? I have compulive software 2009. are there any tutorials or videos out there?

I will answer your fixture grouping question when I have more time to re learn that function tomorrow. however the best way for individual control when programming scenes for playback is using the scene editor. Watch the videos it may answer some of your questions.

thanks. I can create individual control for scenes but is it possible when on the beginner layout to control per say all moving heads to do the same thing without having to put them on the same dmx channel? In the manual it looks like the grouping function will allow you to do so but is not clear. At least for me.

You should go into expert mode. all of my tutorials are based in expert mode. Beginner mode is just too limiting.

sorry. I am in expert mode. What needs to be done to have them all one color at the same then be able to move one moving head by itself. I have seen the tutorial http://www.youtube.com/compuli...ch#p/u/9/pN8VdUIYgd4 and want to be able to do the same. What step am I missing? is this where the group function comes in? How do you group?

If I use the same DMX channel for all moving heads, then I can get them to all do the same thing. But what about when only one needs to stay still as a spotlight?? How do I take control of that light?

I just need to know how to change and effect on one without affecting the rest. I go to fixtures then hit live but all of them are affected.
