I cant seem to find this in manual. On the pages window,to the right of where the addresses are there is a little white circle that will turn green or red in different areas of the circle.

The page in question is some LED pars that don't work within compulive. they just stopped one day. They do work manually.

When i activate scene or a switch they don't work but the little circle turns red in the top third of it.

What does this mean? no dmx signal?

Ok This is weird...

I made the cables myself so I KNOW that they are ok. I always test my cables. So just in case I checked and tested again. All Ok.

So i was going through scenes and redoing the X and Y axis as i had moved a few fixtures around.

Long story short...The pars work as long as I use preset colors. If i try to use any RGB mixing they wont work. As I was looking at things I notice that in all of my scenes if I had used any RGB mixing to make the colors they had dimmed significantly.

This is happening on two types of fixtures. AMDJ LED par38Pro and chauvet color strips. I know that the colorstrips don't work too well with compulive, so I expect issues with them. The AMDJ lights should work flawlessly.

So far, all it seems that I need to do, is edit scenes and switches and change the colors to a preset one. so far it is working.

I am curious though as to why and how the RGB stopped working. Any ideas? Throw them out there folks, this one boggles my brain.

Thanks

What channel mode are you using for the ADJ LED par's? Because if they are in 6 or 7 channel mode they have a dimmer function and that needs to be on in the channels. Also the 3D would show color where there really is non. Not sure if your using the 3D or not. but it can be a issue with some people. Also if you have the color macro channel anywhere above DMX value 8 it will override your RGB mixing control. Hope this helps you figure it out. If anything try putting one of the LED pars in 3 channel mode and try to color mix with the first 3 channel in a scene edit window.
Sincerely,
AAARRRGGHHHHH!!

Ok. I tried the 3 channel mode and nothing. I was deleting the page and for the very first time compulive crashed!

Our lighting computer is not on the net so i cant send it from that machine. What is the file name so i can send it from another sys?

Also,I really need to use the RGB color mixing at times, this very important. After i find and send the dump file i will reinstall the page and see if that helps.

I also want to add that we did not have this issue before the upgrade to the newer version.

Need lot of help here.

Thanks

"1) you will still be able to use RGB color mixing with 3 channel mode profiles."

It is not working.

Heres what I did.

1.I deleted the 7 channel page.
2.I installed the 4 AMDJ PAR38 LEDPROs using the 3channel mode.
3.It did not work. What i mean by that is,when i tried to make a new scene with the page edit. IT did not work.
4. I tried to use the pre programmed buttons/page and mix with the RGB color wheel, again, it did not work.
5. I then deleted the page to reinstall the 7 channel profile and thats when it crashed.

I reinstalled the 7 channel profile and rebooted. now the color macros dont illuminate 100%.Maybe only 50% or less. This also happening with the set of par 64. With them as well the RGB color mixing will not work.

Unfortunately, The 64s dont have a color macro so I cant use that function. It will however work with other functions and when used with these they will luminate 100%.

Ergo, there maybe an bug with the new release in the color mixing and i need to resolve this issue fast!

Does anybody else use the RGB color mixing? if so have you had any issues with it?

HELP!! I am pulling teeth out of my butt from getting chewed out here.

Thanx

sorry this may seem like a stupid question on my part and i do not mean to insult your intelligence but when you patched the 3 channel mode in did you change the settings and addresses on the fixtures themselves? Other than that i do not know why it would be doing that and you are the first one to report this kind of bug if it is one.
Sincerely,
I just hooked up one of the AMDJ Par38LEDPRO to a DMX Operator II with a regular XLR cable and it works fine. The RGB mixing works fine as well, so its not the fixtures.

Just to make sure i did some more trouble shooting.

I hooked par to compulive direct, meaning from dongle straight to the par. same results. No RGB at all, either using the par38 page or the edit window.

I though about what you said about the power. Although these are LED and they draw very little, i went ahead and moved them to their own circuit, with just the pars on it. The same, no RGB mixing and the illumination it very low. After a up close comparison, i would say that they are less than 50%.

I pulled the cable to the set of pars and grabbed a couple of other cables and tried them in various configurations as well as one at a time. The same. All work fine the hardware controller but not with compulive. Could we have another DMX refresh issue?

Is it possible to go back to the earlier version? That way can see if the new version is the issue.

Thanks
