So, in past club/venue situations I've always programmed an "autopilot" scene/chase(s) for the DJ/Bartender/Soundguy who doesn't want to play LD.
In the past I did this in one of two ways;

1. I'd set a scene on a console or within a piece of software that activated each fixtures internal "sound active" mode, respectively. This meant each fixture would react to the music, but not in sync with each other. Chaos!

2. I'd program chases (or cycles in compu live), and my client could either use the tap tempo to set the speed, or they could activate the audio trigger mode (usually feeding the sound input on the lighting console via a group out on the audio console..make sense?). This is quite popular here in Nashville, because it means the lights can go to the beat of the kick drum.

Both ways were as easy as the bush of a button.
My question to you is, what's the best way to accomplish this in CompuLive?
I'd like to be able to essentially have audio triggered cycles.
Could I get an instructional video for this?

You haven't ceased to impress me yet Jingles! Do your magic!

Hi Yes. sorry!!
you can do BPM effect in the scene editor and then place them into a cycle but you will still need to manually trigger the cycle and trigger the step advance for the cycle or let it run through automatically by the times you set for the scenes. Make sense?
In the scene editor or button editor there is a tab for Sound to light. you can link channels to those functions and specify the min and max channel range between the two points. Make sense?
Sincerely,
