Newest Beta not letting me assingn switch dimmer/speed.......

I am trying to assign (to midi control) dimmer functions from the fixture page's switches. I can do this on top from the tab, but I would like to be able to do this from the switch itself. This i way I can have individual control. I am shift right clicking the virtual knob, but nothing.

Ex: I want to control speed of the the color wheel scrolling as the same time controlling speed of say the speed of the prism rotation.

The program is letting me assign the dimmer function that controls speed from the tab on top of fixture page that shows what switch I am using(the switch within fixture page, not master). But using the dimmer function from that tab doesnt allow individual control over each switch.

Ughhh.......

So first I was just going to start a new show, scan library not letting me patch the fixtures, coming up with the same error as before on the pr xl250 fixtures.

When that happened I imported the show from the beta, still no luck on assigning.

Wishing at this point I would had stayed with earlier date. Can I still use one of the earlier date betas that are in this forum?
Ya, pretty much the same error message that popped up as before when I downloaded the latest beta. Some sort of bug. Then I imported the show I would like to use(extended mode on the lights, but cant get the midi to assign), and those dimmer functions on the switches no work to assign.

Ah well, such is computers. I do have a show built with the midi assignments I want, just with lights in short mode, that will get me through. Just trying to get a different midi controller and would like to use extended mode on the lights. Frowner
Are you creating a switch and using dimer min-max property on the two different channels and then after you save and close use the show dimmer knob function? Cause the way I just described is the way to do what you posted in your original post. Then you link the dimmer knob on that switch to a midi or virtual knob or fader. does this make sense?
Sincerely,
